This week, the Texas Business Hall of Fame announced its 2018 class of Business Legends. This year’s list includes a prestigious selection of leaders that help to make Texas strong: Chao Family, Ernest Cockrell, Jim Crane, Jim McIngvale, David Weekley, Richard Weekley, and Patricia Will.

“This year’s 2018 Texas Business Hall of Fame inductees are a true testament to the dedication, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit of the state of Texas and our mission,” said TBHF chairman, Charles Philpott, Regional Managing Director at Aon. “Proven contributions to their industries as well as their local communities can serve as a model for all of us to empower results and drive positive change. We are honored to induct this exceptional group into the Texas Business Hall of Fame, joining more than 180 notable business legends from around the state.” Each year, the Texas Business Hall of Fame selects individuals who are inducted into its hall of fame. Induction is highly coveted and the roster of potential inductees is stacked with qualified candidates. Inductees are considered based on contributions to their field and the communities in which they are active.

About TBHF

The Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation is a non-profit organization comprised of Texas business leaders. The organization’s mission, through the work of its directors, is to recognize the accomplishments and contributions of Texas business legends, and to perpetuate and inspire the values of entrepreneurism, personal integrity and community leadership in all generations of Texans. This mission is accomplished by inducting honorees at an annual dinner, and by awarding scholarships to outstanding students who are deemed “Future Texas Business Legends.” In 2018, 35 scholarships of $15,000 each will be awarded to students across 25 different Texas institutions of higher learning. To date, the Foundation has awarded over 700 scholarships and inducted over 180 Texas business legends.
